MIZUHIKI
CORD (Paper Cord)
Mizuhiki
cord is made from Japanese Washi (Japanese paper). It is produced
by twisting long strips of paper into cord and then applying glue,
which is dried and polished to a shine.
Cord is also wrapped in either silk or pearlescent/metalic papers,
producing cord with a beautiful lustre and added strength.
Suitable for craft uses such
as card making, invitations, gift wrapping, braiding into bangles
and other jewellery, knot craft and making "lucky knots",
Japanese money envelopes (Noshi), wedding keepsakes and decoration,
etc.
Sold in lots/sets of 5 cords (each
cord in pack is of the same colour and type).
Each cord is approx 90 cm (3 feet) in length

Cord types are available:
BASIC
- Cord has no additional
covering (refer info above) - shiny finish
SILK
- Cord has a silk fabric
covering - silk sheen finish with a deeper colour
PEARL
- Cord has a pearlescent
paper covering - very shiny metallic like finish. |
